 GONE WITH THE WIND

Gone With The Wind, a romantic drama by Margaret Mitchell. It is set in Georgia, Atlanta during the American Civil War and follows the life of Scarlett O’Hara, the daughter of an Irish immigrant plantation owner.

The novel won the coveted Pulitzer Prize and was then adapted into this movie of the same name which won an Academy Award.

  E.T - THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL

E.T - The Extra-Terrestrial is the immensely popular magical fantasy movie. It became one of the box-office champion movies of all time. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

The Ten Commandments was Cecil B. De Mille's most spectacular epic and last movie. It was a remake of De Mille's own 1923 silent film of the same name. And it became the highest earning live action movie of the 1950s. It is a blockbuster movie that has a melodramatic style, with great actors.

The movie gives an epic account of the liberation of the Hebrew people from Egyptian bondage. Lead by Egyptian prince Moses, who was born a Hebrew slave. He was raised as an Egyptian Pharaoh's adopted son and helps in the construction of the giant pyramids.

DOCTOR ZHIVAGO

While he is studying to be a doctor in Moscow, Yuri Zhivago encounters a chance meeting with the most beautiful Lara, while they are travelling on a train. Their relationship turns out to be a fateful romance that spans the early years of the Russian Revolution, during which both their lives are just totally turned upside down.

Doctor Zhivago was a really huge box office hit and managed to win five Academy Awards. This movie left an indelible mark on popular culture and even to this day remains an extremely popular movie.

THE EXORCIST

The Exorcist is the sensational horror story that shocked everybody. It is about devil possession and the subsequent exorcism of the demonic spirits from a young, innocent girl. The Exorcist was notable for being one of the biggest box office successes, one of the first 'blockbusters' in movie history and one of the biggest money makers of its time. It is one of the few horror movies that were nominated for Best Picture. But, it was also one of the most opposed movies for its controversial content.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

If adventure has a name, it must be Indiana Jones. Archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the US government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis. Indiana is immediately sent overseas; he stops in Nepal to pick up an old girlfriend and then meets up with his friend Sallah in Cairo. But he soon discovers that there are many dangerous situations along the way, even inside the Ark's resting place.
